Before you proceed please be aware that eBay Fees apply for listings that have Subtitles.  We advise you reach out to eBay or reading the eBay documentation to check the eBay fees.


Adding a Subtitle


  1. Go to Settings - eBay Australia - under Advanced Settings see Product Subtitle.
  2. Add your title into this field, be sure there are not leading spaces before or after.
  3. If there is an existing subtitle e.g '5 Day Sale' remember to make a note of it so that when you remove the new subtitle you can add it back in there if you want to.
  4. IMPORTANT: Subtitles must be no more than 55 characters and a '&' character is the equivalent of 5 characters.
  5. Click Update Settings at the bottom of the page.
  6. Go to the dashboard and click 'Upload to eBay'.  If you do not do this step your Subtitle will NOT be added.


Removing a Subtitle


  1. Go to Settings - eBay Australia - under Advanced Settings see Product Subtitle
  2. Remove the current text in the Subtitle Field.
  3. If you have a regular subtitle in use re-add your old subtitle. 
  4. If not keep blank.
  5. Click Update Settings.
  6. Go to the dashboard and click 'Upload to eBay'.  If you do not do this step your Subtitle will NOT be removed.


Things to remember

  • Clicking Upload to eBay Australia on the Dashboard is essential to add and remove subtitles.
