If you are offering Click and Collect and have a store inventory feed, and want to use store stock to fulfill home delivery orders, it is possible to generate home-delivery stock levels for a product based on the stock level of that product in the physical stores. There are the following methods of generating home-delivery inventory levels:
- Home delivery quantity is the sum of all stock in all stores
- Home delivery quantity is the smallest non-zero store stock quantity
With the first method, the stock across all stores is treated like a single stock pool, with any store able to fulfill any home-delivery order. In this scenario, even if a store has sold out of a product the order would then be fulfilled from another store until the point that no store has any more quantity. For example, if store A has 4x the product, store B has 6x the product and store C has 2x the product, the home-delivery quantity is 12.
With the second method, the store with the lowest non-zero stock on hand for that product is used to determine the home-delivery stock count. For example, if store A has 4x the product, store B has 6x the product and store C has 2x the product, the home-delivery quantity is 2, since store C has the lowest count.
