Overview
Bundles are a great way to increase the basket size of your customer's cart. There are 3 different types of bundles that you can create.
Bundle Type 1: One SKU with multiple quantities, for example, a bottle of water with a quantity of 6.
Bundle Type 2: Multiple SKUs with a single quantity of each. For example, a blanket, a rug, and a cushion
Bundle Type 3: Multiple SKUs with single or multiple quantities. For example, a blanket, a rug, and 3 cushions
# 1 Note: Bundles must be created using parent SKUs. They cannot be a variant SKU.
Marketplaces
Not every Marketplace supports bundles or bulk buys. Currently, the list of marketplaces below accepts bundle listings. If a marketplace is not on this list they do not support bundles sent from Omnivore.
- eBay Australia
- Trade Me
- Catch - Only Bundle Type 1
- My Deal
Marketplaces like eBay, Trade Me and My Deal work where there is one seller per listing.
Marketplaces like Catch and Amazon work where there are multiple sellers for one listing, in this case each seller has an 'offer' on the listing based on price and/or quantity.
Important for Catch: Bundles that are NOT type 1 will still be pushed up to Catch. But Omnivore will not be able to import any orders from listings that are derived from Bundles 2 and 3. Only orders that have products from Bundle type 1. The orders will remain in Catch and will not be imported into Omnivore. They will have to be handled manually.
Create a Bundle
- In Omnivore use the left-hand menu to navigate to Bundles - Create New Bundle.
- Complete the fields in the new bundle form.
Field Name | Description |
Bundle Name | The name of the bundle that is shown on the marketplace i.e. the Product Title - this defaults to the name of the first product in the bundle if this is left blank. |
Product name template | Leave this blank unless you want to optimise the product title with keywords such as Brand. |
Bundle Short Description | The Short description on the marketplace |
Bundle Detailed Description | The Long description on the marketplace. You can use HTML here if you need to. |
Bundle Image URL | Please provide the image in a URL format. If you do not add a URL we will use the image from the FIRST product added to the bundle. |
Bundle weight | This is important if you have a weight-based shipping setup. Add a weight if you want weight-based shipping to apply. Make sure the weight is in the same units as your other product weights. |
Start Date | Leave blank if you want this bundle to start immediately otherwise, the bundle will start when the next scheduled feed to the marketplace occurs. |
End Date | Leave blank if you want this bundle to continue indefinitely |
Sell Amount | The price of the bundle |
Bulk Buy | Check this if you want to offer bundle type 1 (as below) - one SKU with multiple quantities. |
Shipping Mode (optional) | Used if you want to specify a specific Omnivore/eBay Link shipping policy for the bundle. |

Final Step
- After the bundle is created it will be treated like any other product. e.g. it will need a Marketplace Category assigned to it so that it lists on the marketplace.
- Choose a category and then click upload to Marketplace to list the bundle immediately.
Bundle Products in Orders
If you have a Type 1 Bundle you will see the order come through with 'Quantity' = to the number in the bundle e.g. for this order with 10 units in the bundle:
If you have a Type 2 or 3 Bundle you will see the order come through with the price for each pro-rated amongst the products and their initial sale price.
